Use of Personal Information
If you opt-in during the Site registration process, or at other times when you submit personally identifiable information, the information you provide may be used by MCC to create and deliver emails to you such as newsletters, announcements, messages containing product and event information, cosmetics tips or promotions. If you have elected to provide us with your contact information, e.g., by registering at the Site, emailing Customer Service or placing an order, we may provide you with service related announcements concerning your order, our site, or contact you regarding your customer service requests. We may also contact you to respond to product questions or concerns that you may express. These types of communications are necessary to serve you, respond to your concerns and to provide a high level of customer service.
My Cosmetic Counter also automatically collects an IP address or other unique identifier information (“Device Identifier”) for the computer, mobile device, technology or other device (collectively, “Device”) you use to access the Sites. A Device Identifier is a number that is automatically assigned to your Device when you access a web site or its servers, and our computers identify your Device by its Device Identifier. We may use a Device Identifier to, among other things, administer the Sites, help diagnose problems with our servers, analyze trends, track users’ web page movements, help identify you and your shopping cart, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.
Third Parties Providing Services On Our Behalf
MCC may disclose any information, including personally identifiable information, we deem necessary, in our sole discretion, to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request. When you visit this Site or view one of our emails, MCC may use pixel tags (also called “clear” gifs), tracking links and/or similar technology to note some of the pages you visit on our Site and personalize your experience. We may also use pixel tags to determine what types of email your browser supports. We may use the information collected through pixel tags, tracking links and similar technology in combination with your personally identifiable information.
Children Under 13
If you are under 13 years of age, you may browse our Site. However, you may not provide personal information to us. For example, you cannot register or make a purchase. This Site is not designed for children and we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from any children under 13. If we determine upon collection that a user is under this age, we will not use or maintain his/her Personal Information without the parent/guardian’s consent. If we become aware that we have unknowingly collected personally identifiable information from a child under the age of 13, we will make reasonable efforts to delete such information from our records.
We strongly recommend that minors 13 years of age or older ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves to anyone over the Internet and we encourage parents to teach their children about safe internet use practices.

Please note that we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us.

Privacy Rights, Access and Updating
You may review, change and/or correct the personally identifiable information you provide, review/update your personal information, or request that we deactivate your account at any time. You can do this yourself by modifying your registered user information on your account on our site, or by sending us an email to deactivate your account. We will retain your Personal Information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services and as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
In accordance with our routine record keeping, we may delete certain records that contain Personal Information you have submitted through the Site.
